Poland, a country dedicated to the history of Fryderyk Chopin, was also active during the 20th century in terms of promoting the works of the freshest of our time. The composer Mieczysław Karłowicz tragically died in an avalanche during a skiing and photographic expedition in the High Tatras when he was only 32 years old. Stanisław and Anna Oświecim is one of six symphonic poems by the talented composer.
